Mara Interpids -- Masai Mara
Kenya's Masai
Mara National Reserve is well known as one of the world's greatest
wildlife sanctuaries. Only a few have been privileged to build
accommodation
within this heritage, among them is the Mara Intrepids Club.
Sheltered in an indigenous forest bordering the Talek river, its
location for game
viewing is second to none. This luxury tented lodge has been
designed as
a 'fly-in' camp with its own airstrip.
Flying time from
Nairobi is only 35 minutes. The Mara Intrepids Club offers you a
very special window to the wilderness. The Masai Mara is home to
over 80 species of mammals, including the big five (elephant, lion,
buffalo, leopard and rhino) and
over 300 species of birds.
It is a vast area, covering over 1500 square kilometers.
Accommodation for the guests
is greatly considered as the club has 30 elegant tents, large
four-poster beds,
modern en suite bathrooms with hot showers and a large dining area
beside
the swimming pool.
The club boasts of luxurious facilities such as a restaurant which
serves homecooked cuisine, elevated game-viewing area where drinks
are served, a bush boutique and
reliable internet, telephone and postal services.
Location:
Mara Intrepids Camp sits above a sweeping bend in the Talek River,
at the confluence of the Maasai Mara’s four game-viewing areas. The
camp enjoys one of the most spectacular locations in the entire Mara
ecosystem.
Intrepids is a short drive from the Mara River, where up to
one-and-a-half million wildebeest and zebra make their perilous
migration crossing every July and August.
Mara Intrepids is 298 kilometers due southwest of Nairobi; a
five-hour drive or 45 minutes by air.
Accommodation:
Mara Intrepids Camp offers exclusive accommodation in 30 elegant
tents spread over a large riverside site. Each tent with:
